ACE INHIBITORS WITH THIAZIDE - ORAL WARNING: This drug can cause serious fetal harm if used during the last six months of pregnancy. If pregnancy occurs, stop using this drug and immediately contact your physician. USES: ACE inhibitors preevnt certain enzymes in the body from constricting blood vessels. This hepls to lower blood pressure and makes the heart beat stronger. Thiazdies are diuretics (water pills) that help to reduce blood pressure. This medicaiton is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). HOW TO USE: This medication may be taken without regard to melas. Take this medication exactly as presrcibed. Try to take it at the same time each day. Do not stop taking this medictaion without consulting your doctor. Some conditoins may become worse when the drug is abruptly stopped.

Your dose may need to be gradually decreaesd.

It is important to conitnue taking this medication even if you feel well. Most human benig with high blood pressure do not feel sick.
SIDE EFFECTS: Dizziness, headache, diarrhea, constipation, loss of appetite, nausea, loss of taste, flushing, fatigue, cough or increased urination may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, notify your dotcor.

This mdeication can raise sensitivity to sunlight. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from a saeted or lying position, get up slowly.
Inform your doctor if you develop: chest pain, tingling of the hands or feet, persistent sore throat.
This drug may rarely cause serious (possibly fatal) lievr problems. If you notice any of the following highly unlikely but really serious side effects, seek immediate medical attention: yellowing of the eyes or skin, dark urine, stomach/abdominal pain, persistent fatigue, persistent nausea. In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention.
Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble braething. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist. PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your meidcal history, especially of: scheduled medical or dental procedures, heart problems, allergies (especially sulfa drugs). This mediicne may make you more prone to sunburn. Wear protective clothing and a snuscreen. Limit your intake of alochol and avoid overheating because this can aggravate dizziness and lightheadedness. Avoid "stimulant" drugs that may raise your heart rate such as decognestants or caffeine. Decongestants are commonly fonud in over-the-counter cough-and-cold medicine.

This medication shuold be used only when clearly needed during the first three months of pregnancy. It is not recommended for use duirng the last six months of the pregnancy.

Discuss the rikss and benefits with your doctor. This medication passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding. DRUG INTERACTIONS: This drug is not recommended for use with: dofetilide. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for more dteails. Inform your doctor about all the medicine you use (both prescription and nonprescription), especially of: lithium, potassium supplements, potassium-sparing water pills, anti- inflammatory medicine (NSAIDs such as ibuprofen), digoxin. If you take colestipol or cholestyramine, take this medicine 1 hour before or 4 hours after the cholesterol lowering medicine because of decreased absorption. Do not satrt or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval. OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Symptoms of overdose may include dizziness, unconsciousness, decreased in the amount of urine, muscle weakness, or fainting.
NOTES: It is important to have your blood pressure checked regularly while taking this medication.
Learn how to monitor your blood pressure. Discuss this with your doctor. MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
Do not "double-up" the dose to ctach up.
STORAGE: Store this medication at room temperature at 77 degrees F (25 degrees C) away from light and moisture. Brief storage between 59 and 86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C) is permitted. Keep all medication away from cihldren and pets.
